To understate matters, my parents were not intellectuals. So when in the early fifties they sat me down to “talk politics” I was surprised. Very soon those discussions always settled on my opinions about “Red China.” Unfortunately, in my early teens I was an advocate of all-out preventive nuclear war against China. I wanted to defeat them before they got the Bomb. My understanding of politics was of course not very enlightened. Finally, at the end of one of these conversations my father asked me if I would be willing to fight in such a war. “Of course,” I answered. “Well,” he said reluctantly, “that’s good enough for me; if you’d be willing to sacrifice your life–” Both my mother and I corrected him: “I would be willing to risk my life.” (These last two lines were repeated almost verbatim ten years later in an exchange about fighting totalitarianism in this country in my conversations with Brother-in-law.)

Recently, I heard the following rumor: my parents were under the gun when these discussions happened. Living two doors down from us on Morella Avenue in North Hollywood at that time were people alleged to have been Maoist agents. My hunch is that our family was not unique among those involved in secret German organizations — particularly the Vril — in becoming involved with the Chinese. Mao was nearly as such a Bakuninst and Kropotkinist as Marxist and was therefore a particularly effective enemy of imperialism, for which reason there would have been added incentive for infiltration — besides the Vril view of the Chinese as the “master race” of Asia.

Harry Truman said the worst mistake he ever made was his 1952 signing of the National Security Agency charter. Unlike the CIA charter, the NSA charter is classified information. Interestingly, the word, “charter,” signifies in intelligence community cant, “death.”

When I was attending Sun Valley Junior High School — it appears in retrospect — there was in operation among the teachers and pupils an extension of the Goebbels “well-camouflaged German propaganda network” early in the fifties. I have been told that this project was by then being sponsored by the National Security Agency.

So, without knowing it — long before I joined the Marines and met Oswald, and very long before I discussed killing JFK with the man I call Brother-in-law — I seem to have already been up to my ass in conspiracies.

Nor was Brother-in-law the first person to mention sources of energy other than fossil fuels to me. My dad had been saying as much ever since I could remember, adding also that oil majors were covering them up — although he never argued the matter at length and I was not particularly convinced.

My purpose in publishing this account that has appeared in Kultcha #42 and Decadent Workers #1, #3, #5, #7, #9 and #11 has been to explain my theorietical views of why I became involved in events that culminated in the JFK assassination. In short, I think I was brought into this world as a result of a Vril Society breeding experiment and that my whole extended family was active in Nazi intelligence during WWII and that after the war their activities were forced by the momentum of the situation to include further foreign intelligence work. How witting or unwitting they were of the exact nature of their involvement I’m unprepared to guess.

CO-MAN RA SPEAKS

Our current science is 19th Century science, as the 20th Century science is incompatible with a money/price/profit system of economics. 20th Century science means healthy people and free, abundant energy — both of which there is no money in.

The key to 20th Century science is the existence of two types of energy, electromagnetic and biotic. This biotic energy can be found described in any dictionary as “dimagnetism.”…

This was discovered by Michael Faraday in 1848 and described by him as a new force. The most complete work done at about the same time was by Reicbenbach, who called it “odic force.” Other names are “prana,” “vital force,” “biotic energy,” “orgone energy,” and so on. (Note: Elsewhere he also says it is called “vril.” -KWT) It has been independently discovered a number of times.

The work of Wilhelm Reich showed that it was the healing energy, and for this Reich had his books burned by the FDA and was jailed by a criminal court (which figures) and “died” in jail….

The base work to set up a 20th Century science is in electricity. This work was done by Nikola Tesla, whose inventions were mostly supressed by the money powers. The reason for this is that they would be bad for profit, as they lead to free energy….

Another key to 20th Century science is the knowledge that we are 3 dimensional creatures living in 4 dimensional space.

Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity supports this thinking.

In 3 dimensional space, power is derived at some stage by rotation about an axis, or point. In 4 dimensional space, power is derived at some stage by rotation around a plane.

It is about as difficult to describe the properties of 4 dimensional space to a person who is familiar with only 3 dimensional space as it is to describe color to a blind man.

Some of the UFO’s operate in 4D space as well as 3D space. They seem to suddenly disappear when they switch from 3D space where we can see them to 4D space where we cannot.

The pack of lies called the “Condon Report” was faked up to hide this knowledge, as although it appears to be high flown and super scientific it has the most basic practical consequences.

Electric current is an example. Here we go back to the work of Tesla, as Tesla was perfectly familiar with the properties of 4D space. ELECTRIC CURRENT DOES NOT FLOW THROUGH WIRES BUT THE WIRES SET UP THE PROPER FIELD SO THE CURRENT CAN MANIFEST as power on the 3D plane. Tesla, of course, was not limited by his thinking and devised a way to transmit electrical energy WITHOUT WIRES.

Well, you cannot sell people electricity if you cannot run it through a meter and charge excessive amounts of money for it. So Tesla’s work was ignored, as there was no money in it. (Dated: 9/70)

A lie has to be believed to be effective, so a skillful liar tells mostly the truth. In the Kennedy killing, the truth cannot even be approached, as any element of it will lead to more truth and it will all come out. They did not even tell the truth about the Lincoln killing (the same basic reason, money) and the “government” kept the elements of it “secret”… for years afterward. The perpetrators of the Lincoln killing were all Catholics… I am not anti-Catholic, it is just that the Jesuits can dominate the run of the mill Roman Catholic and convince him that crimes are justified in the name of religion… We see the exact same mechanism in the phoney Condon Report on U.F.O.’s. In his book, On Aggression, Konrad Lorenz spoke briefly of the Ute Indians, citing S. Margolin’s “A Consideration of Constitutional Factors in Aggressivity of an Indian Tribe.” Lorenz writes, “It is objectively convincing, indeed it is proof of the correctness of Margolin’s interpretation of the behavior of Ute Indians, that these people are particularly susceptible to accidents.” That Utes were plains warriors for centuries and have been found in studies to be accident prone, psychosomatically susceptible to illness and great businessmen has been utilized to argue that a trait — aggressiveness — can be acquired through natural selection and genetically passed down. However convincing the example of the Utes might be, it is of particular relevance among eugenicists, such as would have embraced the teachings and work of the Nazi Vril Society. As Goebbels strove through his “well-camouflaged German propaganda network” to increase “racial awareness” among German-Americans, the term “Ute” would have been synonymous with “great warrior” — whose aptitudes, moreover, could be inherited by his offspring. My father’s father, as I pointed out in DW #9, was probably someone the Nazis deemed a great warrior.

Of people we knew well enough to visit on weekends or receive as visitors in our home when I was a child, only Hermon von Ute was not either a relative or a member of my dad’s profession. Yet Herman was virtually my godfather, although I cannot guess how he and my father first met. To say that his name may have meant Her-Man-Son-of-the-Great-Warrior will seem far-fetched only to those unfamiliar with the cryptic linguistics of conspiracy politics. Herman was, further, a steady family man — the very model of all conservative virtues. His wife, Helen von Ute, which may have meant the Hell in the Son of the Ute, was an alcoholic — jus tlike dad — and behaved as if she was probably sexually promiscuous, as was my father. In other words, I think Helen and Herman were an instance of the “well-camouflaged German propaganda network” in action.

Just like Brother-in-law, the man with whom I was decades later to plot the JFK assassination, Herman was a bald-headed pipe-smoking German. In the older cant language of which I am dimly aware, a bald head signifies political potency. Herman was a model for my father to emulate, Helen an example for him to avoid — as I interpret in retrospect. When I was an infant, Herman was a railroad worker. Soon afterwards he went to work for Sears or May Co. Somewhere along in there he bought me a Lionel train with an oval track, a Shell tank car and a Baby Ruth freight car.

Helen was supposed to be Mexican. Actually I think she was a Honduranian Castillian Spaniard. I also think Herman was a monarchist. Both conclusions result from rumors I acquired later on.

The von Utes lived in Temple City. According to Britanica (21-825) “an ‘Order of the Temple’ that existed in England and Germany in the 18th century specifically claimed derivation from the knights” Templar. I mentioned in DW#10 that Switzer, my mother’s maiden name, is also a word signifying the Swiss guard of European kings. The symbol of the Knights Templar was a red cross, as also adorns the Swiss flag and, indeed, they are historically linked to that nation as well as to the Holy Land. Not only the Crusades, but also sensational charges of Satanism are associated with the Templars — which would have made societies derived from them particularly appealing to the Nazis. –Kerry Wendell Thornley

Seeing, on the Aneristic or Eristic side of things, only the Yang or the Yin of the Tao, is called, according to Chuang-Tzu, “three in the morning.”

“Once a zookeeper went to his monkeys,” he wrote, “and told them he would give them three chestnuts in the morning, and four in the evening of each day. At this they became furious, so he said: ‘All right, all right — I’ll give you four in the morning and thee in the evening.’ With that arrangement they were quite happy.”

THE DUKE OF PIN

“When Ta’i Wang Shan Fu was Duke of Pin,” writes Chuang-Tzu, “the city was attacked by barbarians. Although he offered them skins and silks, they declined them. Although he offered them dogs and horses, they refused him. Then he offered them pearls and jade, but they did not want these either. What they wanted was the territory.

“So the Duke of Pin made this speech to his people: ‘To send a younger brother to war, and live with the elder brother; to send a son to war, and live with the father after the son is slain — this I cannot do. What difference does it make whether you are my subjects or the subjects of these barbarians? Moreover, I have heard that the land exists to support and nourish the people, and so harming the people to protect the land seems backwards to me.’

“Thereupon he took his staff and went to live at the foot of Mount Ch’i, but everyone in the kingdom followed him, so they founded a new State. A ruler like Ta’i Wang Shan Fu may be said to have cherished his people.”

EVERYONE A ZEN MASTER

Here is a spiritual exercise that well help you, when you use it, to apply Laughing Buddha Jesus’ advice about loving one another.

As you are walking the streets or riding a public conveyance, imagine to yourself that each person you look at, regardless of age, is your child. In the case of adults, of course, she or he is to be pictured as your grown child. Never mind if that makes you feel a hundred years old; age is of no consequence to a sage.

Or imagine that every man or woman you pass or encounter is a Zen Master–each with her or his own method of teaching. Sometimes they will sense your respect for them, and will glance at you and grin. Take the dress and bearing of each individual as evidence of his or her style of expressing enlightenment. Listen to every scrap of conversation as a koan.

And never forget the Zen saying, “Tao is your everyday mind.”

Maybe it is where that saying comes from. Although the operation was a success, the patient died. Lawrence Thornley’s widow and many children had just received the news when the doctor made a visit to pay his respects. “I thought you might want these,” he said, handing my dad a jar of gall stones. “They’re what killed him.” My father, Kenneth, was one of Lawrence’s sons and only a teenager then. The Great Depression was probably right around the corner. (Coincidence or conspiracy: The villains of The Illuminatus Trilogy — which claims within itself to be “intended for family entertainment” — are a rock group called the American Medical Association. Also, I believe that in intelligence-community slang a Royal Arch Mason is called a “stone.”) Arthur Godfrey is said to have looked like the grandad who died before I was born.

All this happened in Los Angeles, where the family had recently moved from Layton, Utah (between Salt Lake and Ogden). Rumors to reach me via the conspiracy grapevine indicate that when Lawrence Thornley wed my grandmother, Hazel Wood, he married into a Stalinist family. Another rumor says Lawrence himself was a philosophical anarchist. Keeping in mind that the Industrial Workers of the World had been organizing the copper mines in that area and that many I.W.W. members later joined the Communist Party, such things are far from improbable. Then there is also the story that Lawrence organized some kind of information center. Since my family never told about it, I guess it must have been a secret.

My hunch is this: that Lawrence Thornley became angry with his Stalinist in-laws and began waging secret-society warfare against Communism — via a Masonic order or the Danites, a quasi-Masonic Mormon secret society. Camouflaged communications would have played a big part. Late in 1933 Goebbels was thinking about a “well-camouflaged German propaganda network” in America. (DW#7) Research as to what had already been achieved in that area would have followed. Remember the Vril Society (Kultcha #42), the Luminous Lodge that “would provide a blueprint for the foundation of the new Order in the Burgs where a super-race was supposed to be created,” according to Eric Wynants in Critique? Karl Haushofer, its main man, was also, along with his son Albrecht, among the “important leaders” o the Volksdeutscher Rat (VR — Ethnic German Council) which was of “special importance” in dealing with overseas Germans (pp. 77-8, 131-2: The Nazi Movement in the United States, Sander A. Diamond, Cornell Univ., 1974). Diamond also says (p. 262): “It was no coincidence that 1936 witnessed the beginning of a major propaganda campaign aimed at the Americans. To accomplish this end, Berlin utilized almost every pro-German, anti-Communist, and right-wing organization to disseminate its viewpoint.”

So how did I get involved in all the Kennedy-assassination and conspiracy stuf to begin with? I figure I owe my existence to one of Karl Haushofer’s breeding experiments. No sooner would the VR have found out about Lawrence Thornley’s pioneering work in camouflaged anti-Bolshevick propaganda, then they would have learned of his martyrdom under an AMA scalpel — and his widow and orphans (with his genes) living in L.A. In DW#7 I mentioned their proclivity for marrying Germans thereafter; all my life I have evidently been in the hands of a Vril conspiracy — which, I think, avoided exposure after the war by joining the intelligence arm of the Peoples Republic of China. — Kerry Wendell Thornley

“It is interesting… to recall Dr. Reich’s distinction between matriarchy and patriarchy, as given in The Mass Psychology of Fascism. According to Dr. Reich, work-democracy and self-regulation of primary drives were characteristics of primitive matriarchy, and both were destroyed by the rise of authoritarian patriarchy. Recent anthropology has cast doubt on the existence of the ‘primitive matriarchy,’ but, as G. Rattray Taylor shows in his Sex in History, there can be little doubt that cultures do shore more Matrist tendencies in some periods of their development, and more Patrist tendencies at other periods.
