“(An) example is the ‘woodpecker’ signals emanating from the USSR in the 5-30 megahertz region and interfering with communications around the earth.

“These complex woodpecker signals appear to originate from two or three dozen powerful Soviet transmitters, each with a power estimated as high as 40 megawatts…

“Typically the signals may be found on, say, sixteen different carriers between 10 and 20 megahertz. Twelve of the carriers may appear normal, with normal ands, and the other four may have the carrier and both sidebands supressed but still show the biologically significant modulation… Other complex modulation frequencies, many of them changing, are present on the various channels.

“Normally, the brainwaves of mammals in an area are gently entrained by the normal oscillations of the earth’s magnetic field and are oscillating along at, say, 7.5 hertz. Under continuous radiation from the Soviet woodpecker signals, at a percentage (say 30 percent) of the mammalian brains may be captured by the 10 hertz modulation of the overpowering Soviet signals… If the signals are made much more powerful (for example, by focusing them into one particular area or increasing the power of the transmitters), then a much higher percentage of brainwave entrapment can be accomplished in the targeted area… The weapons implications are enormous: raw emotion such as sheer terror or panic can be transmitted; information content (thoughts and ideas) can be impressed directly into the captured brains and minds and processed as if originating inside each brain itself… Certain specific ELF frequencies can rapidly disable or even kill, and for wartime use those frequencies can be directly implanted in the captured brains themselves by the woodpecker signals. Decadent Worker 34“Sex is not like eating a ham sandwich.” — Ronald Reagan

For young people who have not been kept by the Reagan Administration from finding out anything else about sex, it is far more like watching a televised commercial for ham sandwiches — or Snickers candy bars, Ford motor cars, Revlon cosmetics, etc. In the venacular of Madison Avenue such ads epitomize the sex sell.

Capitalism promites plasticism for that purpose, a process radical social sociology calls sex-scarcity or stroke-scarcity economics.

The hornier and more emotionally starved people are and the sexier and softer the tone of advertising is, the more attention commercial messages receive — and the more superfluous merchandise is sold.

In The Making of a Counter Culture Theodore Roszak says: “To liberate sexuality would be to create a society in which technocratic discipline would be impossible. But to thwart sexuality outright would create a widespread, explosive resentment that required constant policing; and, besides, this would associate the technocracy with various puritanical traditions that enlightened men cannot but regard as superstitious. The strategy chosen, therefore, is not harsh repression, but rather the Playboy version of total permissiveness which now imposes its image upon us in every slick movie and posh magazine that comes along. In the affluent society, we have sex and sex galore — or so we are to believe. But when we look more closely we see that this sybaritic promiscuity wears a special coloring. It has been assimilated to an income level and social status available only to our well-heeled junior executives and the jet set… Real sex, we are led to believe, is something that goes with the best scotch, twenty-seven-dollar sunglasses, and platinum-tipped shoelaces. Anything less is a shabby substitute… It is the reward that goes to reliable, politically safe henchmen of the status quo. Before our would-be playboy can be an assembly-line seducer, he must be a loyal employee.

In the late sixties when the effects of the make-love-not-war strategy of the Love Generation began eroding its bulwarks, the technocracy began a campaign to sex-sell the whole capitalist ideology. Under a sudden surge of Stalinist leadership, the left fell over itself to cooperate ith the capitalist image makers; all at once everything sexy is labeled by feminists and sour radicals as, for one reason or another, reactionary. Just one more clue in the riddle of caviar Communist conservatism. So these days the left is drab, joyless, cruelly homophobic and ludicrously prissy, in order, we are tempted to conclude, that the right may appear all the more festive, ecstatic, tolerant and seductive.

In the intelligence community things are the same — only worse. Being assigned a mate is called “going home.” (Note the manipulative connotations of that term in view of stroke-scarcity economics.) Until or unless you espouse acceptable opinions you are actively isolated and cannot “go home.” In my experience the only acceptable opinions are endorsement of landlordism and/or agreement with Marx/Leninism; and, since I am neither a sadist nor a masochist — and therefore unwilling to applaud either the starvation of children or the persecution of anarchists — I was for many years not given permission to “go home.” I am also as loath to sanction the incredibly arrogant notion that anyone may presume to give, and therefore to withhold, permission regarding anything so personal as I am reluctant to raise my hand in order to request permission to go to the bathroom now that I am a big boy. So I still have not “gone home.”

There is also something called “going to the park,” where sometimes they let you get laid, though not very often, in return for coincidental agreement with them in one or another situation about lesser matters. So as not to let them compare with the reward for total surrender, however, these affairs are cramped, stiffling and usually of brief duration.

I am only guessing, but the whole thing looks to me like a white slavery racket to conscript agents for Dutch Royal Petroleum and/or the KGB — as whoever you wind up with when you do finally get to “go home” is doubtlessly an agent.

Note that I have twice used the and/or phrase. Having only heard of Revisionist Marxism, Stalinist Marxism, Marxist Humanism, Trotskyism, Titoism and Eurocommunism it may surprise you to learn there is any such thing as Feudalist Marxism — although we no doubt should have suspected as much all along. A messsage I have encountered more than once, though, says I could “go home” if I would sanction both landlordism and Communism.

Even were that not the case, the revelation that Marx-Leninist organizations acquire members by hassling them for disagreement and bribing them for expressing no-doubt hypocritical orthodox views explains much — France 1968, Spain after the civil war, the betrayal of anarchists at Kronstadt and in the Ukraine during the early days. Their intimidating self-righteousness is, then, only a mask for apathy of individuals who never wanted revolution in the first place.

Among secret societies there is one called the Earth, which is supposed to be against landlordism and the energy cover-up much the way Communism is supposed to be against capitalistm. Again there is a temptation to suspect the actual purpose is to behave so brutally and irrationally that the opposition will eventually seem the preferable alternative. I am told that among the fronts for the Earth is the Urantia Foundation — which not only is just staggeringly rich, but has also been around since the fifties; Earth has not yet blown the energy cover-up. Moreover the Earth, with whom the notorious munitioner Sam Cummings is allegedly involved, is reputedly the facility through which the Permanent Universal Rent Strike is being suppressed. Supposedly the energy cover-up is to be blown first, making fossil fuels and uranium obsolete, then the P.U.R.S. will occur. Meanwhile a child under five starves every two seconds and the Earth’s reputation for homophobia and puritanism in general surpasses that of the Spartans, Cromwellians and Stalinists all. Wilhelm Reich believed that love of nature was a sublimation caused by orgasmic impotency and the Earth, at least, appears sincere about ecology.

Ham sandwiches, anyone?

Decadent Worker 27Q. “From your letter to me, you feel some imperialist thing is going on against the third world. As for those starvation figures, well hell man, it seems to me they are living in a desert. And there’s been a drought. I don’t see how I can get serious about your veiled connections. Other explanations are too obvious.

“A further point of difficulty is that the numbers are so low as to be meaningless in terms of the larger picture. No negative growth has yet occured. The starvation deaths are much less than the natural increase (in the third world). You are obviously selective in your facts in order to service a pre-determined mindset.

“Huh? If there’s some secret group of white manipulators who are the real power behind things it would seem they would be first of all concerned about the third-world immigration.” –J.B., Edina, MN

Thank you for at least addressing the problem. That’s more cooperation than I get from my intelligence community contacts — who incessantly offer unsolicited personal advice about how I could get laid if I would only jump through a few hoops, when and where and whether or not I should masturbate, whether I should or should not conform to traditional mores, whether I am or am not or should or shouldn’t be expressing myself in conspiracy cant, etc., etc. — who in fact engage in a non-stop filibuster to evade dealing with the origins of the Vietnam war and the related presentday conspiracy behind the holocaust of starvation.

Allow me to take your last objection first. Third World immigration is a source of cheap labor and those who choose to come here are usually political rightists — many so authoritarian as to be useful henchmen in violently supressing leftwing dissent. Further, discussion of the labor question here may be found in Triple Your Intelligence — $5 from Fry’s Modern Humans, 22511 Markham, Ferris, CA 92370 — in the form of an introductory editorial. For $10 they will also furnish you with whole batches of data from all manner of sources describing in detail alternative energy formulas, plans and articles. Their politics appear so para-military right that I never recommend them without a disclaimer on that score, so they are hardly guilty of sharing my left anarchist bias.

As for no negative growth indicating that the problem is not serious, runaway population growth is a symptom of abject widespread poverty. A sociological rule of thumb is that the richer people are the fewer offsprin they produce. One out of every three people in the world goes to bed hungry every night according to the same sources that furnish the estimates that between 13 and 18 million starve fatally each year. Had I wanted to select my facts I could have, for example, instead quoted: “Twenty milllion Africans will die over the next weeks. One hundred million Africans will die in the intermediate range future of the next months.” If those are facts. “Like the New York Times… the Washington Post has not seen fit to inform its readership of the scale of the ongoing disaster. Television networks, apart from isolated stories, have provided no better information than the print media.

“As a result, the largest holocaust in recent human history is taking place without the accompaniment of protest and moral outrage that could normally be relied on to stop those like Katharine Graham, whose policies and commitments, as we shall show, are festering and expanding the largest genocide in recent human history.” This material is from Save Africa from Volcker’s Genocide, published by the Committee for a New Africa Policy (1980), an organization inspired by Lyndon LaRouche.

I instead cited Creative Loafing, a commercial apolitical Atlanta weekly, because I think it is more effective in the long run to err on the side of understatement — if err one must — than to exaggerate, only to be demolished later on. Moreover I find LaRouche’s pathological perchant for branding his enemies “pederasts” and “pot-smoking fops” so divisively Gouldist that I therefore distrust him on all other counts. Emotional Plague via psychological well poisoning and stirring up the most bigoted and violent superstitions of the ignorant isn’t a matter I take lightly.

Nevertheless, much of the pamphlet is impressive: “Most Africans suffer from chronic malnutrition, eating less than 2,000 calories per day, and most of that starch.” And: “In the broad extent of black Africa that is suffering from famine and drought, nearly every regional, religious, national, local and tribal division of the population is hit with war and insurgency. In all such cases, ‘outside’ influence, whether from the intelligence agencies of Western or East bloc powers, is provable.”

That these people are living in a desert is due in part to the very existence of governments, as their borders are protected by armed guards who make extensive migration impossible. I have said before: “All starving people are under the gun.” A Permanent Universal Tax Strike could simplify that problem greatly.

Moreover, I am personally convinced there is a weather control conspiracy. According to an article in a 1977 American Opinion it was created by a CIA-KGB clique. Due to the unusual nature of my involvement with the intelligence community, I was treated to a demonstration of its reality — although I am at a loss as to how I could convince others. If such a conspiracy did not cause the drought, it could certainly at least cure it, if it wanted.

Also, I personally have been beaten, robbed and subjected to the most humiliating invasions of my personal life and have been told in many such instances that I am being “made to pay” for supporting the Permanent Universal Rent Strike — the only peaceful measure that could abolish the feudal land tenure system that comprises the main cause of starvation and poverty. I have moreover been told that other supporters of the P.U.R.S. have been killed with sodium morphate heart attacks and that Sam Cummings of Interarm, the munitions cartel, has gotten the U.S. to classify the Permanent Universal Rent Strike as a dangerous “weapon,” so as to provide a legalistic cover for its fascist supression. Add to that my conversations about, and before, the JFK murder with a probable CIA agent who said it would be a shame to fight Caucasian Cuba instead of an Asian race — recalling that Charles Cabell, for whom this agent was probably working, sabotaged the air support for the Bay of Pigs — and you begin to get the picture. There is a genocidal conspiracy in control of the intelligence community — perhaps the Vril Society, explaining why no Caucasians and no Japanese and no Chinese are perishing of hunger en masse, why the one out of three who goes to bed hungry is virtually always “racially inferior” in Nazi terms.
